Mister Kitty's Journey

In 2022 Mister was found after we believe being thrown from a moving car. Hi mouth was degloved and lip gashed. He has a flat profile due to his injuries. He could not suck on a bottle in this condition and was syringe fed his entire childhood with his head in a specific angle to avoid choking. He suffered from chronic sinus infections. 

Shortly after his 1st birthday, Mister had his first surgery to attempt closing the cleft. His 2nd surgery they removed the teeth on the right side of his mouth to attempt to have enough tissue to stretch and close the cleft.  3rd surgery they stretched the healed skin over the cleft but again it was not completely successful.  The fourth surgery they utilized a graft of cadaver tissue to try again.  The cleft remains but is smaller than 5 cc.  Mister has 6 month checkups to ensure his nasal passages are clear and flushed if necessary.  He looks great and acts like a normal cat.
